Dreaming About Brunch…

After the longest short week of my life, all I can think about is reading my two new favorite books (just received Layered and Styled as early birthday presents!) and a big, delicious brunch. My intentions are to throw some veggies in the mix… but sometimes sprinkles just win me over.

These are the recipes I’m drooling over for the weekend, anyone have anything in mind for tomorrow morning?

Clementine Sunshine Cocktail Recipe

Clementine Sunshine Cocktail by Bunny Baubles 6

A couple of weeks ago Megan and I tried to plan a happy hour with our girl friends, but to our dismay everyone was busy. It then proceeded to hail golf ball sized pieces of ice in Houston, so the two of us decided to have a night in with cocktails and the HBO Go movie selection. The only problem was that we hadn’t necessarily planned for making cocktails, so every site we tried for “make a cocktail out of what you have in the house” resulted in needing to go to the store. We’re crafty and adventurous (obviously, noting the crazy Friday night we had planned), so we decided to wing it. Continue reading “Clementine Sunshine Cocktail Recipe”

Salami + White Cheddar Breakfast Sandwich Recipe

Salami and White Cheddar Egg Sandwich by Bunny Baubles Blog 1

Over Labor Day, my mom offered to make me a breakfast sandwich that my brother Brian had introduced to her and the rest of my family. I didn’t know how it would be much different from any other breakfast sandwich, but I said yes nonetheless. Continue reading “Salami + White Cheddar Breakfast Sandwich Recipe”

Brunch at Milwalky Trace

Brunch at Milwalky Trace by Bunny Baubles 3

Over Labor Day weekend I went home to Chicago to celebrate my mom and brother’s birthdays, as well as my friends Meggie and Lucas’s wedding. It was an incredible weekend, from the weather to the company – but what really put the cherry on top was the food! My dad made a delicious teriyaki glazed trout that was similar to salmon but possibly even better… I didn’t think that was possible. I will have to try to remake that meal and share it with you all. Brunch at Mark’s: Southern Eggs Benedict and Honey Roasted Grapefruit Recipes

Southern Eggs Benedict by Bunny Baubles Blog

A week back, Kyle and I went on a trip to visit a good friend of ours in DC. Being the lovely host that he is, as well as a cooking aficionado eager to take me up on joint blog post, Mark treated us to the most fantastic brunch! Ideas swirled back and forth the week before we arrived, and we settled on this perfection of a brunch: Southern Style Eggs Benedict (of sorts) accompanied by honey roasted ruby red grapefruit. My mouth is watering just thinking about it again. Continue reading “Brunch at Mark’s: Southern Eggs Benedict and Honey Roasted Grapefruit Recipes”

Christmas Breakfast: Gourmet Egg Tart Recipe

Christmas Breakfast - Gourmet Egg Tart

Christmas morning is possibly the best morning of the entire year. My siblings and I have always lined up at the top of the stair (even as our horizontal growing has made it quite a tight squeeze), and then rushed down to the glorious site of the tree all lit up, hot chocolate on the stove, and presents galore! Though present opening takes a good 3 hours and chocolate and candy canes seem like enough breakfast to tide us over until dinner, a fabulous breakfast treat is never turned away. Strawberry Mint French Toast Recipe

Strawberry Mint French Toast

There’s just something about Sunday mornings that inspires me to make brunch. Maybe it’s the openness of the day, or the fact that I’ve spent the last couple of nights splurging on dinners out, but it seems to happen just about every week. Although I’m smitten with just about every breakfast food imaginable, French toast is my favorite. Continue reading “Strawberry Mint French Toast Recipe”
