Wow, it’s May 2, 2020. This is the day I thought I was going to get married for over a year, and here we are postponed. It is surreal. I wrote about rescheduling our wedding if you are interested, but because it’s no longer set for today and all of these times and dates have changed, I thought I could share our invitation design and printing process! Cutoff Cropped Hoodie Sewing Tutorial
Being cooped up at home feels like the understatement of the century at this point. I like to think of myself as a homebody, but in an effort to truly not expose myself to anyone else, it’s been a full on lock down these days. We have been avoiding the grocery store as much as possible and doing pick up when we really need it. Going down stairs to get the mail from our mailbox at our apartment feels like a journey these days. Because of this, I think we can all agree that our normal day-to-day wardrobe staples have changed. Continue reading “Cutoff Cropped Hoodie Sewing Tutorial”

Sequin Mini Dress Sewing Tutorial
Over the past weekend I celebrated with some of my closest friends at my bachelorette party in Austin! Each and every one of them worked together to plan the best weekend of all time – games, crafting, a custom cake, a tea party, a cocktail party, and a wig wearing extravaganza! I’ll be sure to share more of that on my Instagram. The only thing I knew before the weekend was that I was going to need a dress for going out on Saturday night, so I decided to whip up this little cutie!
Something short, sweet, sparkly, and white – perfect for a bachelorette! This was the perfect little white dress to wear out dancing, and it is so much more comfortable than you might imagine. The sequins are not itchy like some I’ve worn before, and they provided just the right amount of shimmer.
When I decided to make this dress out of sequins, I was honestly a little nervous because most sequin fabrics have to be hand sewn or have the sequins removed so that the fabric can be sewn with the machine. Not this fabric, though! It’s incredibly easy to work with because a sewing machine can sew right through it without having to remove each sequin at the seam line by hand.
To make this little white dress, you will need a yard of white sequin material, a yard of milliskin tricot fabric to line it, and some white cord for the straps. The construction is a simple 4 pieces of fabric with only 5 seams total – this project could not come together faster! Check out the tutorial on Fabric Wholesale Direct.
Lace Bubble Sleeve Top Sewing Tutorial
In the last year, statement sleeves have really made a comeback. Bell sleeves, flounce sleeves, cold shoulder, ruffles, puff sleeves, you name it. One of the most romantic looks, in my opinion, is the bubble sleeve. Continue reading “Lace Bubble Sleeve Top Sewing Tutorial”
DIY Robin Stranger Things Costume
Happy October first! This year for Halloween, I wanted to recreate one of my favorite new characters from one of my favorite Netflix shows: Robin from Stranger Things! She worked alongside Steve Harrington at the ice cream shop at the mall, and even though we see her over many episodes, she consistently has her ice cream shop uniform on, thus making it the perfect Halloween costume as it’s her only outfit! Welcome to Sew Bake Decorate!
It’s been almost six years since I hit publish on my first blog post on Bunny Baubles blog, and we’ve come a long way. The photos and skills have all improved as you’ve come along on this blogging journey with me. I keep more of the sewing projects I make. I love more of the recipes I test. I’m more comfortable in the home I decorate as I find my style. A little older, a little wiser, and so I felt it was time for a name change.
Though I still love bunnies, I found myself having to explain the name and how it didn’t relate to the blog topics at all. It was a cute and memorable name, but I didn’t post about bunnies, and I didn’t really post about baubles. Also, as it turns out, people do not know what baubles are…
The new name is one I have considered for years now. Sew Bake Decorate encapsulates all of the main topics of this blog, and I love the slant rhyme it has. Has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? They are my three main passions, closely followed by event planning, but I don’t think I’m enough of a professional to claim them in my name yet.
What can you expect? The same content you’re used to! The only change is the name while the focus stays the same. You can expect my social media handles to change as well (some will take a little time to fully update, so don’t worry if you still see Bunny Baubles in certain places). Take a look at the new links below. Thanks for sticking with me over the years! I hope you love the new name as much as I do.

How to Find Your Perfect Wedding Florist
When it comes to wedding decorations, what’s more iconic than flowers? If you ask me, nothing really beats the moment when the florist comes to deliver the flowers to the wedding party and the bride sees her bouquet for the first time. They are an accessory in all of your photos, as well as the focal point of every table that your guests will sit at for at least an hour of your wedding. It’s important you choose the right florist so you get exactly the look your want (also at the price that you want!).
