The weekend before last I joined my friends, along with the rest of America, to watch the Super Bowl. I made my version of Chuy’s classic jalapeño ranch dip and swapped out the sour cream for Greek yogurt. Sparkles and Roses Cake Decorating Tutorial
Great Gatsby screams decadence. The more expensive flair, jewels, pearls, glitter, alcohol, and craziness the better. Since all birthdays center around cakes for me, I volunteered for another double decker creation for Megan’s birthday that I wanted to go all out on. I found a picture on Pinterest of a gorgeous cake from a Wuthering Heights themed wedding, and Megan loved it…with the exception of the big pink flowers. Great Gatsby Soiree – Costumes, Cakes, and Champagne
Themed parties are the absolute best. Everyone has an excuse to dress up, they make for the best decorations, and it gives you a reason to try a bunch of new drink recipes! For Megan’s birthday this year we decided to go with the perfect little Great Gatsby soiree. Like I said, the three main parts of the party included costumes, swanky decor, and 20s style cocktails. Oh, and it wouldn’t be a birthday without a HUGE cake!
