In the last year, statement sleeves have really made a comeback. Bell sleeves, flounce sleeves, cold shoulder, ruffles, puff sleeves, you name it. One of the most romantic looks, in my opinion, is the bubble sleeve. Continue reading “Lace Bubble Sleeve Top Sewing Tutorial”

Matching Pajama Set with Piping Sewing Tutorial

There’s something about getting older that makes you appreciate really nice pajamas. Some of my favorite evenings are getting home from work, exhausted, and loving the feeling of a hot shower and slipping into my PJ’s to enjoy Netflix and my favorite Trader Joe’s frozen Indian meal. My life is exciting, I know. Continue reading “Matching Pajama Set with Piping Sewing Tutorial”

Tiered Ruffle Dress DIY

Like any bride, I immediately started scouring for cute, white dresses to wear as soon as I got engaged. Even though my engagement party thrown by my family had already come and gone (and was held in the deep of winter in Chicago, so white was definitely out of the question), I still figured I could wear white dresses for the next year for bachelorette parties, bridal showers, and the like. The only issue with white is usually that it has to be really high quality to:

Velvet Wide Leg Pants Sewing Tutorial

When I was graduating from college, she was finishing up a science project about the planets. And then all of a sudden, she’s visiting me in Houston showing me how to apply eye-shadow and inspiring my fashion choices. Enter: this adorable overall dress. With another slew of weddings coming up this month, I thought it was high time I got around to publishing my DIY veil post! Three of my friends got married in the Spring and all asked if I could make their veils. This was such an honor for me to see them in something I made, and it was even better that this saved them money and took almost no time or effort! DIY Camo Print Athleisure Set with Exposed Hems

As a Chicago native, I never in my wildest dreams imagined I would end up owning anything camo print. But as trends come and go, camouflage is here and I’m kind of digging it! In order to ease into the trend I decided to make the most adorable little athleisure set to wear around the house. Continue reading “DIY Camo Print Athleisure Set with Exposed Hems”
