If only I was getting a bunny…alas, here are 10 bunnies that will hop their way into your hearts this winter and hopefully help get you through the last work week before the holiday. I can’t wait to be home in snowy Chicago!

P.S. If anyone spots any Christmas bunnies out there, snap a pic and send ’em to me!

P.P.S. If you make a snow bunny out of actual snow, that would be fantastic, please send me a photo.

Tacky Christmas Skirt DIY Costume

Tacky Christmas Skirt by Bunny Baubles 2

Christmas always seems to sneak up on me down here in Houston. The hot weather and the craziness of yearly deadlines at work seems to distract me from the cheery season around me! Even my tree this year turned into a Christmas bush covered in little bows… a little pathetic, but also somehow super fun, don’t you think? Continue reading “Tacky Christmas Skirt DIY Costume”

Peanut Butter and Cocoa Swirl Cookies Recipe

Peanut Butter Cocoa Swirl Cookies by Bunny Baubles 7

Peanut butter cookies are some of my absolute favorite cookies of all time. My mom shared the Betty Crocker recipe with me when I was young, and I fell in love with the crunchy outside and gooey inside that only the perfect combo of Crisco and butter can give. Crisco may seem gross to some, but it’s a miracle worker. Continue reading “Peanut Butter and Cocoa Swirl Cookies Recipe”

Happy National Cookie Day

With holidays in abundance ranging from national burger day to national cat day (yes, these are real holidays), it only seems fair that there would be a national cookie day. Cookies are amazing, obviously, and are such a staple that everyone loves! Can you think of anyone who doesn’t like cookies?

In honor of national cookie day, bake some up with you favorite cookie loving friends. Here are just a few of the recipes I’ve shared on my blog you could try!

Also, a sneak peek at the cookies I will be posting a recipe for next week: Peanut Butter Cocoa Swirl Cookies. You may just have to celebrate national cookie day again next Tuesday…

Thumbprint Cookies – Perfect for Christmas coming up! These are my favorite buttery, jam filled cookies of the season.

Oreo Reese’s – Are they cookies? Are they candy? Does it really matter? You don’t even have to bake to make a batch of them, and they pair two godly desserts into one.

10 Quick and Thoughtful DIY Gifts for Everyone on Your List

10 DIY Gifts for Everyone On Your List

Around the holidays there’s always that one person who really stumps you when it comes to gifts. They either have it all, or their Santa list consists of designer watches and imported French wines. Who has money for that craziness? Why not get a little crafty and make them something they can’t buy? Priceless!!

That’s why I’ve taken the liberty of composing a list of DIY gifts for everyone on your list. They’ll be impressed with your thoughtful nature, and you’ll be thrilled you still have money to buy that New Years Eve dress!

1. The Nature Lover – Bird Seed Cakes from House of Hawthornes

These little cakes make the perfect bird feeder that can be hung anywhere outside a window so your outdoorsy loving friend can watch the birds all Winter long from the comforts of their own home.

2. The Entertainer – Gold Confetti Glasses from A Thoughtful Place

I would absolutely love these adorable little cups. You could even apply this technique to wine glasses or champagne flutes. Show up with these and a bottle of bubbly and you’re a regular party instigator.

3. The Book Worm – Book Ends from Love Grows Wild

They might have every book in the library, but they don’t have these custom book ends you can make in a flash. Way to be stylish and thoughtful all in one swoop!

4. The Pampered Princess – Bath Bombs from Bright Nest

These things are so fancy looking but so simple to make. Who doesn’t love a good, long bath? Throw in a couple candles and call it a “Me Night Kit”!

5. The Hip Decorator – Teacup Planter from Curbly

This could also be done in a coffee cup depending on the person. Succulents are so in right now and plants give any space some added character.

Fireside Apple Cider Recipe

fireside-apple-cider-by-bunny-baubles-2

It’s my most favorite time of year. The leaves have changed colors, the air is clear and brisk, and all I want to do is be next to the fire with a huge cable-knit sweater, a great read, and a big ‘ole cup of apple cider. Being that I no longer live in a house with my parents, I am sadly down one fireplace, but excitedly up one fiery drink. If you’re looking for the perfect Fall beverage that will warm you from head to toe like the best down comforter, snuggling puppy, and cinnamon candle adorned coffee table all mixed into one, I’ve gone and found it for you! Sha-Bam, DIY Pillow Sham!

DIY Pillow Sham by Bunny Baubles Blog

Beds with tons of white linens are so heavenly to me. There’s something great about jumping into a fully white bed with a puffy comforter and luxuriously soft sheets that makes you feel like you’re soaring on a cloud. It’s restful, and feels like you’re staying at a five star resort. I made sure when I moved into my new place that the bed was the one place I invested some money. I was left with a dreamy sleeping zone… yet somehow it wasn’t very me. I really like clean white…but I LOVE color. Continue reading “Sha-Bam, DIY Pillow Sham!”

One Lovely Bunny Blog Award

lovely-blog-award-1

If there’s one thing I’ve come to love about blogging, it’s the amazing reader and blogger base I’ve found on WordPress and other blogs. We let each other into our lives, hoping someone might care or learn something from our rambling and iPhone snaps; and amazingly a few of you out there read all these crazy, crafty, bunny filled posts and get something out of them!

Thanks to the fantastic blogger base out there, I was nominated for the One Lovely Blog Award by one of my favorite WordPress bloggers, Rae of Sparkles! She’s a ton of fun, awesomely crafty, and you know how I feel about sparkles… you should most definitely check out her page.

Blogging has been a lot of fun for me, and I’m so glad it’s been fun for all of your too! Thanks, especially, for the people who keep the posts coming…if y’all didn’t show up to my ridiculous parties, take turns taking dumb photos of me crafting, or listen to me ramble about my failures of projects I would have given up a long time ago. This has been more fun than I could  have ever imagined, so thank you all for that!

So the rules of this shindig include sharing seven things about myself (bare with me) and nominating my other favorite bloggers. So here goes!

Seven Oh-So-Interesting (ha!) Things about Myself…

1. I’ve spent the last 4 months painting my nails every week to try and break my nail biting habit. Results: nails are longer for sure, but I definitely start biting again the second one nail chips… I can’t seem to stop!

2. A dream of mine is to buy and renovate an entire crummy house. It also totally freaks me out not knowing what I would find and how much that would cost me…

3. I admit to playing that Kim Kardashian phone game… And I’m not gonna lie, it’s awesome.

4. Secretly, and now not so much, I can’t wait for my friends to have babies so I can make them adorable clothing. I suppose that requires any of them to get married first. 😉

5. I have a serious aversion to buying clothing that isn’t on sale… I really can’t remember the last full priced item I’ve purchased.

6. I think 12 year old me would be ashamed of 24 year old me knowing the last time I spent a decent amount of time learning how to use makeup was… like 12 years ago… I’m just so lazy!

7. Projects I’m scared and amazingly excited to start (so who knows when they’ll happen): building a headboard, baking macaroons, and making a coffee table.

Other Nominated Bloggers

There are some TALENTED people out there blogging, and I’m so glad they do! Recently I’ve found these other blogs. They really inspire me to use better photography, try new things, and even try harder when I get dressed in the morning. Thanks for all of your amazing posts!

Salted Kitchen puts out some consistently mouth watering recipes. Her photos are also to die for, teach me your ways!

JuJu’s Secret Ingredient has been making these macaroons that I can’t get over. She also gives very detailed instructions that are inspiring enough to try out the recipes yourself!

Savory/Sweet/Style does it all, providing very detailed recipes, crafts, and most recently a hilarious bunch of Halloween pics. I also love her Friday Flower posts!

Skinny Sweet Treats is my newest obsession! Her recipes are really fun and the photos are superb.
