In the last year I have come to appreciate good lounge wear. White tees and jogger pants have been my favorite go-to items when I want to be cozy at home. Having non-ratty tee shirts and PJ shorts that aren’t from middle school actually does keep me motivated even after I’ve come home after a long day of work to get some chores done or cook a decent meal. Not to mention it’s much more appropriate for running out to the grocery store for a last minute item.
I have tried on many pairs of joggers that had various issues – too tight, making them more like leggings, or too baggy, making them look dumpy – before buying one pair and altering them to fit just right. Instead of buying and altering more pants, I have created this perfect fit jogger pant sewing tutorial! The waist is comfortable and fitted, while the bottoms of the pants are tight around the ankles without turning into a legging fit all the way down. I also added super simple pockets to the outside of the pants (because, duh), and a drawstring waist that adds a cute detail.
