When it comes to Valentines Day, Kyle and I usually don’t do anything too crazy. We like to make dinner at home and avoid the crowds, and sometimes he indulges me and lets me pick a high quality chick flick. We do, however, love to go out to the symphony in the winter months, and for those occasions, I like to bring out something a little more special!

Clothing Details: Dress – Made by Me (Similar dress in plum, Similar dress with long sleeves) || Earrings – H&M (similar tassel earrings) || Bracelet – Forever 21 (similar gold chain bracelet)

I spotted this stretch, wine colored velvet on Fabric Wholesale Direct’s website, and I just couldn’t say no to it. Draping it in a simple, form fitting off the shoulder style, I think that I’ve created the perfect date night dress! It’s quite comfortable while being sexy and sophisticated as well. Plus this is one of the easiest dress patterns I’ve made – only 3 pieces! I can’t wait to wear it to our upcoming date night to see Yo Yo Ma perform at the Houston Symphony.

  Hahaha, well… most of them are high quality if you ask me!! Kyle would say something like crazy, stupid love is better than maid of honor… but I like them all pretty equally 😄

    OMG Crazy Stupid Love is amazing and definitely not a chick flick!! Hahaha I say that because my husband is obsessed with that movie (although that doesn’t mean much, he is pretty sensitive). Haha! 🙂 He loves that, and ANYTHING Nicolas Sparks. I’m surprised he still has a man card.
