Avocado Fries with Chipotle Aioli Sauce

Avocado Fries with Chipotle Aioli by Bunny Baubles 4

I’m back again with Degustabox this month, and y’all, this Sir Kensington’s chipotle mayonnaise sauce is like crack. I could put it on anything and love it. The perfect amount of spice in a creamy condiment lends really well as a spread or a dip. So when I saw a recipe for avocado fries on my Instagram friend, The Foodie Physician‘s, page I was totally inspired to pair the two together!

Avocado fries are that perfect combination of crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. So filling that you can only eat a few before you’re full, avocado fries actually make for a decently healthy snack. When dipped in the spicy chipotle mayo (no alterations needed), the avocado fries barely needed any seasoning. This recipe is a bit messy, but very easy to make, with a simple dredge in flour and egg, then finished in bread crumbs. I followed Sonali’s recipe with a few changes since I found I needed more flour and breading.

My friends and I made this recipe along with my baked sweet potato fries for some flavorful snacks while watching the Olympics! I am loving watching all of the events, especially gymnastics. Am I the only one who gets seriously emotional after they share interviews with the athletes? Serious props to the producers on that.

Avocado Fries with Chipotle Aioli

  • Servings: 6
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Print

Ingredients:

2 Avocados, firm
1/2 cup Flour
1.5 cups Panko Bread Crumbs
1 Egg + a little water
1 tsp. Garlic Powder
1 tsp. Paprika
1 tsp. Salt
Cooking Spray
Serve with Sir Kensington’s Chipotle Mayonnaise

1. Preheat your oven to 425 deg F and spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Slice your avocados in half, remove the pits, and slice them into about 12-14 slices each.

2. Prepare your dredging station for the avocado fries by filling one bowl with the flour, one bowl with the egg and water whisked together, and one bowl with the panko crumbs, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Begin covering your avocados by covering them in flour, then dipping them in egg mixture, and then finishing them in the breading. Place each of the fries on the pan with a little space between them.

3. Bake for 8 minutes and then take them out of the oven and flip them over. Bake again for another 8 minutes.

4. Serve immediately with your Sir Kensington’s Chipotle Mayonnaise sauce.
